A crowned man moves carefully through a field of cacti and thorns, pressing a small dog protectively against his chest. Above him, metallic wasps hover in tightening circles. The landscape feels hostile, watched, and unavoidable, yet he continues forward, carrying something fragile through the danger.

I have been creating since childhood, but I returned to my practice with renewed intention around four years ago.
I create in order to make visible what is often felt but not easily articulated, and to produce works that remain alive through repeated viewing. I am interested in paintings that continue to reveal themselves, offering new conversations over time. Drawing on Afro-Caribbean folklore, memory, and lived experience, my practice constructs symbolic, psychologically charged worlds in which identity, vulnerability, and inner tension are continuously negotiated.
