Jane Fraser is an Altrincham-based artist with a particular interest in cityscapes and landscapes. She's always painted,  but has been especially productive over the last decade since swapping her commitment to her business for an even stronger commitment to her art! Her main inspiration is the landscape, both rural and urban. Subjects could be anything from the spectacular cityscapes of Manchester and the quirky back alleys of northern towns to the wild grandeur of the Peaks and Lakes.

Observational drawing outdoors is a big part of her practice, and she is an enthusiastic urban sketcher. In the studio, she paints both in oils and acrylics, and enjoys interpreting our Northern urban landscape in quirky collages that employ her own hand-printed papers and Victorian magazines. The strong graphic lines and colours of these can be reproduced in striking prints, which are also offered for sale through HEADS Art Gallery.
