This piece is a move away from my usual portraiture. Through my explorations of architecture, I noticed that the nail and thread technique perfectly depicted the meticulous angular structures of historical architecture. This piece depicts a church tower based in the heart of Birmingham city.

Imogen Morris is an artist living and working in Birmingham, UK. Imogen was born in Birmingham in 1991 and received a first-class degree from Kingston University in Fine Art and Art History (BA hons) in 2013. She has been a practicing artist for 6 years, and her works are held in a number of private and public collections in the UK and internationally.
Imogen's practice challenges the boundaries between craft and fine art. By putting a contemporary spin on thread, Imogen transforms a traditional material into sculptural form. She constructs figurative works that hover between 2D and 3D - part drawing, part painting, part sculpture.
Imogen was recently awarded a residency at Bankside Hotel, London, completed her largest corporate commission to date for PR Robotic Packaging. (Netherlands), and became a Graduate Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. She continues to receive esteemed endorsement from the King's Trust.
